Last Friday, Mark went in to Burgess Hill School for Girls to talk to a class of 8 years old about his job as a dentist at Dental Healthcare Practice. He told them all about the effect of sugar on their teeth and how it can lead to fillings, how to look after their teeth, and dental hygiene. At the end of the session, he answered lots of their questions, including tricky ones such as “Do you know the tooth fairy?” and “Why are teeth white, and not pink or blue?” At least half of the girls expressed interest in a career as a dentist, so Mark told them all to work hard in their science lessons!

Did you see the Dentists programme on ITV last Monday? It offered a sad insight in to the degree of neglect in some people’s dental care in this country. It seems obvious to most of us that we should be limiting the amount of sugar, sweets and sugary drinks that we all consume, know how to brush our teeth properly, and visit the dentist for regular check ups. Prevention is better than cure, and early detection of any problems will hopefully mean smaller fillings, etc. As your local, experienced Horsham dentist please feel free to ask us any questions you may have about your dental care. And for those of you who found the programme to be not for the faint hearted.
We’re always striving to deliver excellent service and treatments at affordable prices and we’re proud that our latest CQC report which basically an inspection of dentists was passed with flying colours.
If you’re thinking of changing dentists or have recently moved to the area and are looking for a local Horsham dentists then we’d be delighted to look after you.
